2022
Memorial Trophy
October 2022
In memory of Stuart Bradley and other pétanque friends that we have recently lost in the Mercia Region. Brilliant days play in Brilliant sunshine. A very close game but after a play-off our winners were Richard & Brian and runners up were David Shaw & Phil Baker.
Sherwood Shield
The final for the shield was played at The Arena Club in Worksop on Saturday the 24th September 2022 and was pipped at the post by Ravenshead Club with equal games but five points only ahead of Chesterfield. David Carlin and Linda Robinson, our team Captains, did a sterling job of leading our team forward, especially the “newbies” that have only recently joined the club. Congratulations must go the the whole team. They were all winners!!!
Club Singles Competition September 2022
David Carlin won with 4 out of 4 wins, in 2nd place was John and 3rd place went to Neale. Mary Lou received a prize for propping up the entire team. Richard Pitchfork won “Most Improved Player for the Year”. The rain kept away and everyone had a good time.

Another wonderful and constructive day by the Chesterfield Petanque club. We had 20 entries making 10 teams. Mixed bunch but great fun. And the rain stayed away.
Scouts evening
A great event was enjoyed when we entertained local Scout groups (including Beavers, Cubs, etc) to an evening of petanque and associated games. Over 100 people attended and despite some showery weather it was enthusiastically received. Thanks to all those who helped to put on this event.
Pointing & Shooting Competition 14 May 2017
The weather was kind and we had a hard fought competition in both the ladies and the mens events. The prizewinners were Ian - Pointing, Carole - Ladies Shooting, David Shaw - Mens Shooting and Tim Jervis was awarded ‘Star of the Year’ for his contributions to the club
